About Cosmos1562

Cosmos1562 is a free real-time satellite tracker. Watch over 7,000 active satellites orbit Earth live, including the International Space Station, the Starlink megaconstellation, GPS navigation satellites, weather satellites and Earth observation missions.

What can I track?

Crewed stations
International Space Station, Tiangong, and Mir successor missions
Communications
Starlink, OneWeb, Iridium and other commercial constellations
Navigation
GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and NavIC
Weather
NOAA, GOES, Meteosat, Elektro-L, Meteor-M and Arktika-M
Earth observation
Landsat, Sentinel, WorldView, Resurs-P, Kanopus-V and Yaogan
Cosmos series
Russian military and research satellites

How does it work?

Cosmos1562 uses Two-Line Element (TLE) data from CelesTrak and the SGP4 orbital propagation model to calculate the position of every satellite in real time. Positions update every second directly in your browser, with no refresh.

What orbits are shown?

LEO · 160-2,000 km
Low Earth orbit. Most satellites, including the ISS, Starlink and Kanopus-V.
MEO · 2,000-35,000 km
Medium Earth orbit. GPS, GLONASS and the other navigation constellations.
GEO · 35,786 km
Geostationary orbit. Weather and communications satellites, including Elektro-L, that hold station over one longitude.
HEO · above 37,000 km
Highly elliptical orbit. Specialised reconnaissance and research satellites, including Arktika-M.
