About Cosmos1562
Cosmos1562 is a free real-time 3D satellite tracker. Watch over 7,000 active satellites orbit Earth live, including the International Space Station, Starlink megaconstellation, GPS navigation satellites, weather satellites, and Earth observation missions.
What can I track?
- International Space Station (ISS), Tiangong, and Mir successor missions
- Starlink, OneWeb, Iridium - commercial communication constellations
- GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, NavIC - navigation satellites
- NOAA, GOES, Meteosat, Elektro-L, Meteor-M, Arktika-M - weather satellites
- Landsat, Sentinel, WorldView, Resurs-P, Kanopus-V, Yaogan - Earth observation satellites
- Cosmos series - Russian military and research satellites
- And 7,000+ more active objects in orbit
How does it work?
Cosmos1562 uses real Two-Line Element (TLE) data from CelesTrak and the SGP4 orbital propagation model to calculate the precise position of every satellite in real time. Positions update every second directly in your browser - no refresh needed.
What orbits are shown?
- LEO (Low Earth Orbit) - 160 to 2,000 km altitude. Most satellites, including ISS, Starlink, and Kanopus-V.
- MEO (Medium Earth Orbit) - 2,000 to 35,000 km. GPS, GLONASS, and navigation constellations.
- GEO (Geostationary Orbit) - 35,786 km. Weather and communications satellites including Elektro-L that appear stationary.
- HEO (Highly Elliptical Orbit) - above 37,000 km. Specialised reconnaissance and research satellites including Arktika-M.
